Phuket remains one of the most popular destinations for tourists visiting Thailand, but unfortunately this also means many of its beaches are not what they used to be. In our quest to find peaceful and untouched gems, we came across the idyllic Naithon Beach and newly-built Pullman Phuket Arcadia. The 277-room resort is designed to take full advantage of Phuket’s natural beauty, with uninterrupted views of the Andaman seas from all angles. The hotel is located less than 15 minutes from the airport but do not let this put you off as the planes travel in the opposite direction, leaving the area undisturbed at all times with an easy access to the buzzing nightlife of the island. Despite being so young, Pullman Phuket Arcadia already has multiple awards under its belt. This resort also makes the perfect meeting venue for business and weddings. With five state-of-the-art meeting rooms and six outdoor function spaces, it can host 10 up to 600 guests. If you’re a keen golf player then you will be delighted to know that the resort is located just 15 minutes drive from Blue Canyon Country Club, the golf course made famous by Tiger Woods’ 1998 Johnny Walker Classic victory, and 20 minutes from Mission Hills Phuket Golf Course which is one of the best in the country.
Rooms and Villas
There are 5 different options to choose from – Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, Family Deluxe, Grand Ocean Suites and best of all: Pool villas. The Grand Ocean rooms are immensely comfortable and large with a unforgettable view of the beach. The bathrooms are spacious and come with premium amenities. You have everything you need here, from large flat TV to international plugs and speedy WiFi. We especially love the walk-in wardrobe that hides away your belongings neatly. The bed is a treat in itself, larger than anything you’re used to. If you want to splash on luxury than it doesn’t get any better or more romantic than the pool villas. Enjoy evening cocktails in your own private infinity pool that looks like it’s spilling into the Andaman Sea. No wonder television hits such as ‘The Bachelor Australia’ filmed their most romantic episodes here.
Fitness & Spa
We were very impressed by the hotels Fit Lounge which is a short walking distance from the main hotel premises. The walk makes the perfect warm up and is a delight in itself as it allows your to enjoy the beautiful natural surprises of the hotel grounds. The gym has four glass walls which means you always have a beautiful view, reminding you that you’re on the holiday of your life. How about starting your day with an early yoga practice or go for a run on one of the many treadmills.
The hotel’s Dhatri Spa, names after the God of well-being and tranquility offers guests a wide range of treatments. From the moment you arrive the staff go to great lengths to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed. They mix Asian traditions with modern to make your Spa experience a truly unique one. There are single and double treatment rooms, as well as the option of in-room treatment services. The therapists use products made from natural and fresh ingredients blended by hand along with world-class beauty products provided by French-based skincare brand, Payot. The Spa retail shop also caters to guests interested in continuing their body and facial spa at home. The attentive service, relaxing ambiance, and varied treatment makes this a must have experience for anyone looking to beat the travel grind.
